Bitmex, cryptocurrency exchange and derivative trading platform for advanced traders is looking to block 3 more countries from using the exchange. There are already a few countries that are not allowed to access or use the services provided by BitMEX, according to their ToS:

You are not allowed to access or use the Services or the Trading Platform if you are located, incorporated or otherwise established in, or a citizen or resident of: (i) the United States of America, the province of Québec in Canada, Cuba, Crimea and Sevastopol, Iran, Syria, North Korea or Sudan; (ii) any state, country or other jurisdiction that is embargoed by the United States of America; (iii) a jurisdiction where it would be illegal according to Applicable Law for you

The crypto exchange is now looking to limit access to users who live in Seychelles, Hong Kong and Bermuda. Bitmex team said that the increasing involvement of regulators is expected and they had to restrict access to Bitmex ‘for users in the jurisdictions in which HDR-affiliated employees and offices are located.’

Bitmex also said that the new restrictions will only affect a small amount of users and will not impact their business. Bitmex will be reaching out to users who are affected.
