Opera has collaborated with Unstoppable Domains to introduce Web 3 capabilities and crypto wallet updates for its computer and mobile users. The partnership allows Opera consumers to browse decentralized sites and conduct crypto transactions without leaving the site.

Opera has more than 300 million active users and the firm plans to launch opera blockchain and its crypto wallet in the U.S., EU, Australia, and New Zealand. The company will introduce these new services to other markets after testing.

Opera Offers Crypto Service

The announcement states that the system is supported by the IPFS protocol that allows users to access the cloudless decentralized web. Moreover, the feature empowers users to make transactions without the need of a broker.

Opera introduced its first blockchain project in December 2018. Since then the firm has continuously improved its services and has launched a secure crypto trading ecosystem along with the crypto wallet to contend with other giant crypto exchanges.

To enter into crypto space Opera is investing a massive amount of money. Charles Hamel, Crypto Head at Opera said:

“Being able to acquire cryptocurrencies without having to go through an exchange, directly from the wallet makes the process easy for the users. Expanding these features to more regions is key to driving blockchain adoption. We are excited to expand our collaboration with Wyre and deliver best-in-class crypto buy experience to even more countries.”

To further expand its wings in the crypto space, Opera has collaborated with Visa, Mastercard, and Wyre, a brokerage company based in the US, to enable consumers to buy cryptocurrencies instantly with their credit or debit cards.
