TE-FOOD is Using the Blockchain to Track Groceries

TE-FOOD is the world’s largest farm-to-table food traceability program and it’s now using the blockchain for it. Food traceability is important because it ensures there is transparency when it comes to food information.

It also reduces the tampering of products by using a product serial number which identifies each product with an individual QR code enabling you to monitor it.

TE-FOOD has created something called, the FoodChain,  a scalable and secure blockchain. This enables supply chain companies to submit the data which will be registered on the blockchain. The blockchain technology is great for this since the information stored in the ledger cannot be modified.

TE-FOOD has more than 6000 business customers and has served more than 100 million people. They work with giants of the industry like Auchan, BigC or Aeon.

TE-FOOD held an ICO not long ago and their token, TFD is already available for trading on KuCoin. The current price of the token is $0.002 which is much lower than the initial ICO price of $0.05.

Technically speaking, TFD has been in a downtrend for quite some time, however there is still huge potential for the token and company.
